2018: January 2018

Welcomed the new year in Cedar City with a party at Granny's house.

Sent our soldier, PVT Bret, back to AIT training at Fort Sill, OK.

Crosby became SUPER helpful around the house by: pulling pots & pans out of the cupboard & dropping them off at miscellaneous locations around the house, biting in to everything he found - including unpeeled oranges, stirring toilet water with Christmas decorations, dropping tennis balls in the toilet (not pictured), dumping small things out (like Q-tips), pulling food out of the trash and eating it, pulling books & stickers & art supplies out/off of shelves, and coloring all over walls.

Our tiny dancer, Nora, continued to LOVE dance class and started incorporating moves on her "stage" (kitchen counter) in our house.

Played a game of family basketball at the church. Winter cold is giving us all cabin fever.

Andlie turned N I N E! Celebrated with emoji/sea turtle decorations, a #9 pancake, Daddy surprising her at school lunch, opening presents, Cafe Rio for dinner, and cake & ice cream of her choice (brownie/cookie cake & Cookies & Cream ice cream).

Celebrated Andlie's birthday with 3 friends: Brynlee J, Mady R, Ella W. Took them (and Haze) to the movie, "Wonder," where they giggled non-stop the entire time. Took pictures under theater #9 because, duh.

Nora got her very first CTR ring! Both girls got birthday spotlighted in church.

Mommy & Nora made homemade bread using Granny's recipe. Laughed when I called my Mom to tell her. "This is the 5th generation making this bread! Melba, Donna, bread maker [Shelly], Chandi, Nora."

Crosby turned S I X T E E N months. Celebrated by taking pics of him in his Christmas hat from Mom & Dad.

Shennie & Mindy visited! They were here for a quick trip on the 13th - 14th. We watched Andlie's basketball game (where she made two shots) and then spent the rest of the day shopping in Lehi where the kids each got a new pair of shoes!

Nora drew a beautiful picture of Mom & Dad & her and labeled it during church.

Crosby got a little bit sick (runny nose, cough, & low fever) so he got extra snuggles with Mom & Dad.

Nora had her very first birthday party with friends! Games: make your own crown, pin the jewelry/object on the princess, and smack the fairy pinata. Then we opened presents and had cake & ice cream! And LOTS & LOTS of giggling!

Andlie suddenly turned in to a pre-teen and enjoys sitting at her new desk with her iPod in her ears (listening to an audio book) while doodling.

Crosby popped his first two molars!

We had our first snow of the year (January 20th).

Bryce came over and had dinner with us a few times this month. Crosby was amazed at his guitar skills.

Crosby found a new hobby - coloring! He LOVES it!

Dentist! No cavities for anyone but Andlie who has her very first one!

Nora passed out "napkins" (toilet paper) to everyone at dinner.

Crosby sits down & points at the TV whenever I ask him if he wants to watch a show.

Nora started "Mommy School!"

Andlie came home all giggly. I asked her what was going on and she ran to her backpack & pulled out this book. She was giggling so hard I couldn’t even understand her and started giggling myself. She finally told me that “Mom, I STOLE THIS BOOK FROM MY CLASSROOM!!!” Because “I NEEEEEEEEDED to keep reading it at home!” So she “snuck it in my backpack and brought it right home.” Hahahahahaha! I’d say the shirt she wore to school that day proved to be true. Thankful for her happy, book loving heart.

Nora has been begging to "wash the floors with a bucket" just like Cinderella for a long time. She finally got her wish!

Grama & Grampa came to visit January 26th - 28th. They also got to see Andlie play ball! And me & Grama made a quilt for Bryan, Bryce visited, and the Hatch family came on Sunday to visit! Great family weekend!

Nora wanted me to match her so I did: matching shirts, pants, and hair!
